Family in Cornelius, NC is searching for a family assistant for their four girls, one of which lives outside of the home, but nearby. The family needs a family assistant full-time 40 hours a week (but it usually ends up being about 25 hours of actual work {unless there are overnight stays}. The hourly need can be flexible, and there are some weekends and some overnights needed as well.
The ideal person for this position would have a loving heart, be patient, caring, organized, and proactive. The girls are 24, 17, 15, and 13 years old. They are all teenagers or young adults and need a positive role model and guidance throughout the week. Their mom is a single mother and has MS, and she often has relapses that require her to have more help around the house and getting kids to/from where they need to be. The family assistant would be responsible for a wide variety of household and family tasks, such as scheduling, vendor management, household chores (no heavy household cleaning), projects, childcare, helping oldest daughter with her dogs on occasion, family driving, general shopping, errands, light housekeeping, and sometimes light cooking. This position requires someone who is proactive and eager to help the family with these tasks. The family also have three dogs; one is a Great Dane and the other two are little. So, the nanny must be comfortable around dogs and caring for them.
